Yard Sale

Aspen and I had our first yard sale in this area.... We did really well considering someone stole our signs!!

The whole time I was preparing for the yard sale I was telling the kids not to mess with the stuff. It was now baby stuff and they are now big kids! But I thought for sure once they seen all the stuff they would want to keep it. I'm so proud of them there wasn't a single time they asked to keep an item. They asked to play with them, but was sure to tell me that they would put it right back!!

The three got bored after a while so Matt took ALL three of them out for a bike ride!

First Speech Session

We had Jaycob's speech session today! His teacher said that he did well. I know he had fun by the mood he was in when he came out! Jaycob colored this frog, practicing his 'G' sound at the end of words. And the pictures of these other items were glued onto the back. When I asked him to recite these word he said the majority of them properly.
Originally we were supposed to only have one session, but there's another Tuesday before school is out so we get to go back next week too! He's looking forward to it.

Free is Good!!

Today we noticed that a block down they had signs up for FREE books!! Daddy had to go out for a bit so I put the kids in the stroller and walked down there! Good thing Daddy drove past as I was still down there. I don't know if I could have pushed it all back!!
These are just the ones that I really felt we should take, since they were all free!!
The kids love the Fidgety Fish, Lazy Ozzie, and Wake Up Mr. B!

Potty Praise

It never ceases to amaze me what they'll come up with!! They're newest thing is standing there and clapping and saying "Yay!!! Yay!!!" to each other while the other is pooping! They go as far as to call the other upstairs when they get done doing their business, just so they can clap!! It's crazy!

Evening Walk

Tonight we went for a walk on base where we used to walk every night. There was a family of swans feeding when we got there. The kids thought it was great, but they were a bit upset that they wouldn't come near enough to us to feed them bread!
Daddy and his camera! Uhhhhgggg...
A little game of kick the rock!
And when we walked back down this way the swans were all on the beach, resting.

Ok well part of dinner! We also had raviolis and green beans! Don't ask me what posessed me to take a picture and I know if I didn't tell you what it was you'd have no idea! But it looked so good and smelled so good!

Lurking Dinosaurs

This has progressing for the last couple weeks, but tonight just topped it all! Jaycob has been becoming more and more afraid of dinosaurs. We don't know what caused this fear or how to fix it, but I think its here to stay for a while.

During the daytime he's fine with the blinds being open, but come night time its a whole other story. If its night time or overcast he won't go into a room unless the blinds are closed. He says that "the dinosaurs are hiding in the trees, looking at me". This goes for all rooms, except the living room, and its especially bad for downstairs.

Well anyway... Tonight he refused to go in his room before bed. He wanted to stay in the hallway. After going up there a dozen times and getting him to go in his room, only for him to come right back out, he told us that he wanted a curtain up so the dinosaurs couldn't look THROUGH the blinds at him!! What so now these dinosaurs have x-ray vision too??

We put a sheet over his window and he was more then happy to go in there and within 10 minutes he was passed out!!

Where this fear came from? We have no idea. What continues to make it worse? Who knows!

Magnetic Kids

Grandma and I bought these magnetic people for the kids! We didn't open them until we got home in fear of losing the little pieces. After our hustle and bustle of being away the kids were quite bored the morning after we got home. So these things were great for entertaining them for a while!

Note: 6/4 These are still an every morning activity!

Bird Nest

This bird nest is on our front porch. We were kinda concerned when we noticed it that we would scare them off to much for them to lay eggs and raise babies. But here's some pictures to prove us wrong! Just today (3rd) I've heard the babies make noise for the first time. I'll continue to update this post as the babies get bigger.

According to the info we read about the house finch this may not be our only set of eggs this year! Here's a picture of generally what our parents look like. And here's the best site I've found for the other info.

We thought after our trip the baby birds would have been gone, flew away. According to what I read they should have been gone! But boy were we surprised when we got home and took a look... There they were busting out of the nest!!

Leaving Grandma & Grandpa's

Jaycob had to crawl up in Grandpa's lap for one last time before we headed back home!

Cutest Pictures Yet!

Go over to Grandma's Blog to see these!! This is how the kids ended their day while Daddy and I went to dinner by ourselves.

Thanks Mom!!

Park

After our fun morning with Cousin E and Cousin S, Grandma took us for lunch and a little outdoor time at a nearby park!!
Jaycob LOVED this sand digging thing and spent all his time here actually!
And Abygail was my little daredevil this time around. She walked across all of these suspended steps and then went down this slide. This slide, might I add, that was the steepest slide I have ever seen in my whole life!!
We also got to see this whole family of geese. The kids thought it was great that all the babies swam in a line like this.

Somewhere New

Well, today we went somewhere nice and new! On the way there we crossed a RR track and noticed a train coming so we turned around so Jaycob (and Abygail) could see a real live train. I think he was actually quite shocked at how big, fast, and loud a real train is!!
Once at our fun destination the kids had a blast!! These cars were a huge hit! I think they all took turns pushing and riding.

At some point Abygail discovered this room with dress-up clothes. She's never really had real outfits to put on before so she had a blast with this! These are all her choices as outfits!
After a bit of the cars and dress-up the kids went shopping!! Both the kids loved this cash register. I guess we'll have to invest into one of these!
Then came a ride, dinner, and a show!
A bit of creative exercise! They pulled these stools from the other end of the room, lined them up, decided to walk across them!!
Of course being the older brother, Jaycob had to cause trouble of some sort or another. As Abygail was walking across them Jaycob pushed them out of her way. But then it was all fun and games after that!!
