Words of the Week
Jaycob has been spouting all kinds of new words recently.... Thought I would share some:
- Food
- Gate
- Door
- Outside
- Tree
- Pee-Pee
I know, I know being 2.5 most kids are talking a bit more... But you know what I'm not concerned, he seems to do just fine day to day and he is continually adding to his vocabulary!
Good for him!
ReplyDeleteKelsey didn't talk much at that age either - and now she'll talk your ear off!
Although, we did find that she has a speech disorder called apraxia (not sure on the spelling) - the doctor explained it as a disconnect between thinking a word and physically making the muscles move to say it. They suggested we enroll her in the community school's Early Childhood Education program and it's really been good for her - so if you do start to worry, you can check to see if there's something like that going on. Otherwise, the more time he spends with people, the better he'll get at talking!
